Brahms Lullaby is a children's lullaby. The tin whistle notes are included. This is probably the first piece of music I have placed on the site that was actually written by a classical composer. It just so happens that he wrote some lovely children's folk songs also. There are two pieces of work here, the first is in the key of G and the second in D Major. The one in D might be more suited to the whistle as the notes are slightly lower.

I was raised on Irish folk songs and have been singing them since I was little. My family isn't directly Irish, but our ancestors are, and we feel very close to them when we sing songs like this. This is by far my favorite type of music and it makes me happy that there are things like this to show people how awesome it is.

This is lovely! I'll be using this with my class of 9 year olds. May I please suggest this correction: the last word of the 2nd and 4th lines are missing--"bed" and "blest," respectively.
