She Didn't Dance Irish Song Lyrics And Guitar Chords

Recorded by Peg Clancy who was the sister of the The Clancy Brothers, until I heard this song I never even knew Peg could sing, it's a simple little song with just the 2 chords in 4/4 timing. Peg Clancy came from Waterford as did The Clancy Brothers which is the next county to Wexford. Many years ago the Wild Swans brought out Dancing At The Crossroads Song to inspire the Wexford hurling team. Dancing at the Crossroads is the most popular ballad on the site when it comes to Dancing. Now that's enough rambling for me for today.

She didn't [C]dance, dance, dance,
She didn't dance at all to[G]day,
She didn't [C]dance, dance, dance,
[G]No, nor yester[C]day
Chorus
Dance her [C]up, and up, and up, and up,
and dance her up to the [G]sky,
Dance her [C]up, and up, and up, and up,
And [G]she'll be down by and [C]by.
Oh, [C]she was like a lady,
She was like a [G]queen,
[C]She was like a lady,
[G]Off to the fair at [C]Glyn.
Chorus
