FLOWER OF KILKENNY Lyrics Guitar Chords

This is a folk love songs from the Irish county of Kilkenny. The music timing is 3/4. For the YouTube-life-version of the  Masterless Men use capo on 3rd fret to tune to Fmajor  The chords are by Marc Fahrbach and this song was requested by Tom Quinn. I have also given an alternative version of the guitar chords for the key of G. There's not been many songs that I have come across regarding Kilkenny, there's a few on the site but are mainly about the Kilkenny hurling team. The most famous song that mentions Kilkenny is the old ballad Highland Paddy Song which is a rebel songs about gaining freedom for Ireland.
I (D)once loved a (G)flower in Kil(D)kenny
and a (G)beautiful creature was (A)she
I (D)loved her far (G)better than (D)any,(G)
and I (D)know that young (A)darling loved (D)me.

Chorus
(A)She's the (D)beautiful (G)Flower of Kil(D)kenny
Shall I (G)gaze on her fair face no (A)more?
I have (D)roamed through the (G)world and seen (D)many,(G)
But there's (D)none like my (A)Eileen, a (D)Sto'r  -G-D-A

I re(D)member the (G)first time I (D)met her,
And I (G)gawked at her hand I pur(A)sue.
And no (D)man could have (G)felt any (D)better
(G)
When she (D)swore she would (A)always be (D)true.

Chorus

As she (D)left me she (G)gave me a (D)token,
And (G)that was an outburst of (A)tears.
And the (D)words that were (G)generally (D)spoken,(G)
They (D)remain in my (A)memory for (D)years.

Chorus

For (D)this was the (G)last of the (D)token,,
That she (G)gave with a fond loving (A)will;
And the (D)words that were (G)generally (D)spoken,(G)
They've (D)reigned in my (A)memory (D)still.
