Additional playing instruction for the advanced version
The advanced version of this song differs from the easy version ‚only’ by two additional chords G7 and G*. G*=3-2-0-0-3-3 is basically a variant of the easier ‚standard’ G major chord G=3-2-0-0-0-3 and both of them can be used as an alternative to each other in almost any song. However, only the two of them together with G7=3-2-0-0-0-1 will create this nice little ‚riff’ in the song. Each of the three chords lasts only one beat in the riff, so the chord combination (G-G7-G*) will make one full 3/4-measure. The important thing is really to play the h-string of the G- and G7-chord and the high e-string of G* because these are the notes that make up the melody. All other notes/strings in the three chords are fully optional. G* may therefore be simplified to G*=3-2-0-0-3-X if you pick the chords or if you strum them with the high e-string damped from swinging by your small finger. Please note that the riff is sometimes purely instrumental and sometimes sung by using the very first words of the following text line. This may also need some time.
