Song Lyrics With Chords For The Key Of C Major
[C]Fare thee well, [G7]now, Indi[F]an[C]a, your green [Am]land has [F]been good to [C]me.
There I tra[G7]veled, there I [F]set[C]tled, there I [Am]raised [F]up [G7]my fami[C]ly.
But the [F]cord has never [C]severed, and the [F]longing each [Am]day it has [G7]grown.
So, to[C]mor[G7]row, I'll be [F]leav[C]ing for the [Am]land [G7]that I call my [C]home.
[C]All my friends [G7]say that I'm [F]cra[C]zy, going [Am]back to [F]such pover[C]ty,
America [G7]is, so they [F]say [C]now, the [Am]land [F]of [G7]opportuni[C]ty.
But the [F]shy hare runs so [C]swiftly and the [F]heron [Am]slowly [G7]flies.
These are [C]trea[G7]sures from my [F]home[C]land that all your [Am]money [G7]can never [C]buy.
As our ship [G7]lies in the [F]har[C]bor, I shall [Am]look back [F]on your [C]shore.
And I'll feel sad[G7]ness that I'm [F]leav[C]ing your [Am]green [F]land [G7]forever [C]more.
But as our [F]ship lies on the [C]ocean and each [F]day we are [Am]out on the [G7]sea.
All the [C]dreams [G7]I've had for [F]years [C]now, drawing [Am]near[G7]er reali[C]ty.
[C]Fare thee well, [G7]now, Indi[F]an[C]a, your green [Am]land has [F]been good to [C]me.
There I tra[G7]veled, there I [F]set[C]tled, there I [Am]raised [F]up [G7]my fami[C]ly.
