[D]I, the Lord of [G]sea and sky,
[D]I have heard My [G]people [A]cry. [Bm]All who dwell in [G]dark and sin, [Em]My hand will [A]save. I[D] who made the [G]stars of [A]night, I [D]will make their [G]darkness [A]bright. Who[Bm] will bear My [G]light to them? [Em]Whom shall I [A]send? [A]Here I [D]am Lord, Is it [Bm]I Lord? I have [D]heard You [Em]calling in the [A]night. I will [D]go Lord, if You [Bm]lead me. I will [D]hold Your [Em]people [A]in my [D]heart I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have born my peoples pain. I have wept for love of them, They turn away. I will break their hearts of stone, Give them hearts for love alone. I will speak My word to them, Whom shall I send? Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord? I have heard You calling in the night. I will go Lord, if You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart. I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame. I will set a feast for them, My hand will save Finest bread I will provide, Till their hearts be satisfied. I will give My life to them, Whom shall I send? Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord I have heard You calling in the night. I will go Lord, if You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart. |
Daniel O'Donnell Writes About The Release Of His Greatest Hits Album
There can't be many singers who don't welcome the day when their first ever "BEST OF" album makes its appearance. I'm certainly one who has been looking forward to this moment for a long, long time as it represents another step in my career .... and a pretty significant one at that, as this album brings together a number of songs, in one may or another, that mean something special to me. Generally "BEST OF" albums represent songs that have name association with the artist and it's no different with this collection. Let me give you a few examples. Here s nothing more i can say about My Donegal Shore apart from I probably wouldn't be where I am today without it. Just when I thought things weren't happening for me, this song proved that there was a public willing to listen to my music. And if MY DONEGAL SHORE helped establish me with Irish audiences, then I NEED YOU was probably the song that did the some with UK audiences. DON'T FORGET TO REMEMBER furthered the cause even more. Of course every artist remembers their first number one record and the song that made it happen for me, in the Irish pop charts, was TAKE GOOD CARE OF HER, Talking about Ireland (again), such a collection wouldn't be complete without some songs from my homeland that are always assured a warm welcome in my concerts, songs like DANNY BOY and PRETTY LITTLE GIRL FROM OMAGH. We've also got a number of new recordings in this collection, songs which should have been recorded some time ago not only because they are firm favourites but also, because we've had requests for them somehow or other, they were overlooked in our schedules, but, now we've put things right. THE WEDDING SONG is certainly a real favourite and a song I learnt at a very early age, similarly with THE THREE BELLS, while STANDING ROOM ONLY is a far newer song that I first came across on a Loretta Lynn album, which is good enough reason for it to he included in this collection. It's a monologue and something entirely different for me as I have never recorded one before. I hope you agree with me that this collection is something special. I hope that some personal memories will be revived with the old favourites and that the new songs will soon become equally popular. Repent and ask God for forgiveness If a person becomes humble enough to submit to God, it is because God has given that person a new, humble nature. If a person remains too hard-hearted and proud to submit to God, it is because that person has not been given such a willing spirit. But to see this most persuasively, we should look at the Scriptures. https://www.lds.org/topics/repentance?lang=eng&old=true |
