There's A Song To Be Sung Lyrics

Written By William McCready. here's a song William wrote about my thoughts on why Irish songs are never played on radio. If anybody can come up with a tune for the song I'll have a go recording it myself. Let me know please.
There's a song to be sung, an Irish one
Let's not all be afraid.
To tell the world what we want to unfurl,
And how it should be played.
With a bodhran in our hand, whistles on a stand.
A guitar and the pipes to the fore,
So let's open our voice to the people's choice
With open minds and open doors.

Let's all dance together, in all kinds of weather,
To the beat of an Irish drum,
With pride in our hearts
let's sing them all out, each and every one.
We'll enjoy what we are, from near and afar,
And teach those who don't understand.
That the music they hear has been sung for years,
In their home in Ireland.

We don't need to forget the reels and the sets,
That have been with us from the start,
And the musicians before who opened the door,
Have all being playing their part.
Now it's without any doubt, what we Irish are about.
So come and join in the fun,
For it's Irish we are and it's Irish we'll stay,
A nation united as one.

Let's all dance together, in all kinds of weather,
To the bead of an Irish drum,
With pride in our hearts
let's sing them all out, each and every one.
We'll enjoy what we are, from near and afar,
And teach those who don't understand.
That the music they hear has been sung for years,
In their home in Ireland.

That the music they hear has been sung for years,
In their home in Ireland.
