An Irish folk tune written by Michael Considine written around 1880, recorded by The Dubliners and The Pogues and also by Christy Moore and The Wolfe Tones. The youtube video is slightly different than the sheet music, in the video I start off using a c note instead of the b in the sheet, other than that it's the same. Play it your way. This old Co. Clare song is also in the Tin Whistle Book . Most people in Ireland over the age of 40 will know this song and sang it at some session or house party in their lives. It's known as a standard at ballad sessions around the country.
