Pretty Little Girl From Omagh Guitar Chords And Lyrics

Written by Johnny Cauley. Guitar chords by Marc. Recorded by Daniel O'Donnell, singer Hugo Duncan and Sean Cuddy. A country song. T
Omagh is the county town oy Tyrone and is the largest county in Northern Ireland. It was the home of Hugh ONeill the Earl Of Tyrone who surrendered to The English in 1603 which then saw the end of Gaelic Ireland. This was the start of the plantation of ulster by English and Scottish settlers who took control of the land.

Places to visit in Tyrone include The Sperrin Mountains in the north of the county close to Derry.Gortin Glen Forest Park is another ideal place to visit.Tyrone is one of the finest spots for wildlife and trout fishing in Ireland. A former American president Woodrow Wilson came from Tyrone and several other former presidents trace their roots back to Northern Ireland

Irish Country Lyrics And Chords
Way [D]up in the north in old Tyrone
There's a [G]pretty little girl I call my own
She's the [D]sweetest rose Ireland's ever [A]grown
And [D]sure as the moon and stars above
I'm  [G]falling head over heels in love
With a [D]pretty little girl from Omagh
In the [A]county of Ty[D]rone.

There's [D]cute little girls in old Strabane
They're [G]just as pretty in Monaghan
[D]This to every roving eye is [A]known
But I [D]guess that I'd be out of bounds
'Cos [G]there between the northern towns
There's a [D]pretty little girl from Omagh
In the [A]county of Ty[D]rone.

Chorus 1
She [A]wears my ring and tells her friends
She going to marry me
But [D]best of all she tells them all
She's happy as can [G]be, oh lucky [A]me.

Chorus 2
Well I [D]don't know what she's done to me
There's [G]nothing else my eyes can see
But the [D]pretty little girl from Omagh
In the [A]County Of Ty[D]rone

Bridge: D-D-A-D

Verse 3
T’was [D]down in the south in old Drumore
I re[G]call that yellow dress she wore
[D]She ran along the shore there all a[A]lone
I [D]guess it was your lucky day
When [G]she went there on a holiday
The [D]pretty little girl from Omagh
In the [A]county of Ty[D]rone.

Chorus 2

In the [A]County Of Ty[D]rone
