💡 Playing Tips

Fingerpicking (3/4 Waltz Pattern):
Use a gentle rolling motion: P–I–M–I–A–M

P (Thumb): plays the bass (E/A/D strings).

I, M, A: pick G, B, E strings in sequence.

Keep it steady — think “boom–chick–chick.”

Strumming:
Use Down – Down-Up – Down, accenting beat 1 for the folk waltz pulse.
You can alternate bass notes (root–fifth) for extra motion.

Style:
Soft, nostalgic tone — perfect for a fingerpicked verse and gently strummed refrain.
Let the bass strings resonate for a warm, Highland sound.

Ending:
Finish on a slow arpeggiated G chord, letting it fade naturally. And, here's another set of chords for the key of D.
