Eric Bogle comes from Scotland but emigrated to Australia many years ago. When he wrote Leaving Nancy it was about leaving his mother at the train station when he was heading off for greener pastures. He done a tour of Ireland a few years ago and I finally got the chance to see him play. What a great show he puts on.
