Child Of Destiny Lyrics By The Wolfe Tones

From the  album of the same name by The Wolfe Tones [ lyrics ]No chords at the moment. Written by Brian Warfield.

I dreamt last night of you
A child of destiny
But the song may, say,
And it sometimes made me cry
Oh the words oh the words are so sorrowful
and sad
Of the tide, of emotion, takes me away,
from the sea
(Chorus)
to the shoreline.....
to the shoreline.....
to the shoreline.........
Isn't there, isn't there isn't there
open the world of love
isn't there, isn't there
Peace at the end of the war
Isn't there, isn't there
Stars in the sky above isn't there
isn't there, oh yeah
Oh let me be  oh let me be alone
Lullaby.
2
Trees bent in the night,
As the stormy seas do blow
And daybreak lights the night
Round the isle of Inisfall.
Let me drown in the sea
Oh the sea of misery,
and the tide, of emotion
Takes me away, from the sea
(Chorus as above)
3

I see the harbor lights
There's a neighbor in the night
Oh take me from this dream
Be a heavens guide- ing light
take me from the stormy seas
to a sea of harmony
as the tide of emotion
takes me away from the sea
(Chorus as above)

About the song.
This little track was written as a plea for
the future generations- our children and our grandchildren
who are lost in a sea of sorrow, despair and uncertainty.
We have mortaged their future and denied them their past.
We have wasted the precious resources
in an excess of greed andselfishness.
We allow them to drown in misery and wastefullness.
In our rush to globalise we, the selfish generation,
have negleted and disgarded many things of great value
that should be handed down to them
but are cast to the oceans of neglect
and deliberately erased it from their education,
those words are from Brian as printed on the new CD
